Maximize/Minimize form without API

Hi all,

Is there an inherent function within a form object to maximize and minimize
it?

Or must we use the API using SendMessage?

I can't seem to see anything from the list.

Thanks,
Adam

Use -

WindowState = FormWindowState .Maximized / .Minimized / .Normal

Thanks a lot, works great.

To make it obvious I've added the "me." at the beginning.

Hey Group, When I minimize and then maximize a form (in windows application), I see a significant drop in memory usuage in the task manager. I tried to do the same thing programatically during the form load event, but I don't see any significant drop in memory usage. Anybody know why? Thanks, Bhargavan

Hi I have a parent child forms. I want the close, maximize, and minimize buttons to be removed. One the child form I have set the maximize and minimize buttons to false. I have the child form mamiximze in the parent form. So then the maximized button is still active. But I want the child form to fill the parent form without the ability to close minimize or maximize the form like a default page.

I have a single threaded application in c# that scans through a file system. While doing this if I try to minimize, maximize buttons on the top, right hand corner of my form do not do as they are supposed to do. To maximize the window I have to go to "task manager" and double click the application. How do I control those maximize, minimize buttons on the top right section of my form? A learner here

Hello, I have a WinForms app (VS.NET 2005 + SP1) where the FormBorderStyle of the main form is set to FixedDialog. I've added a NotifyIcon, so have set the form's MinimizeBox property to true; This enables the form's minimize button, obviously, and the NotifyIcon stuff is working.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
