I keep getting the following error every time I compile the solution under
VS 2005:
----------------
Error 5
Unable to copy file "obj\Debug\xyz.dll" to "bin\Debug\xyz.dll". The process
cannot access the file 'bin\Debug\xyz.dll' because it is being used by
another process.

I have a piece of STL code which compiled perfectly with VC++ 6.0 and
VS .NET 2003 but I get loads of errors for it in VS 2005.
The code is as follows:

Hi, I'm new to python and looking for a better idiom to use for the
manner I have been organising my python scripts. I've googled all over
the place about this but found absolutely nothing.
I'm a linux/unix command line guy quite experienced in shell scripts
etc. I have a heap of command line utility scripts which I run directly.
What is the best way to create python command line scripts but exploit
the (loadonly) speed-up benefit of...

I've been using the VS2005 Publish utility on one of my projects for
about six months. I have a large site with hundreds of files,
thousands if you include the code behind files.
So I thought I'd use the publish utility and pre-compile my site, but
make it updateable. I thought I would be increasing the access time
for each page. Here is what I've found.
1. If I publish a pre-compiled, updateable version of the site, it
takes 50...

Hi experts,
We are trying to migrate from Visual Studio 6 (C++ project) on Windows 2000
to Visual Studio 2005 SP1 on Windows Vista but found that the migrated
program runs slower in both OS.
A looping section of the original program (compiled with VC6) running in
Windows 2000 takes 400ms but the same program (compiled with VS 2005) in
Windows Vista but copied to the Windows 2000 machine (together with the VC
Redistribution libraries) to...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
