I am wondering whether it is easy to setup a coordinate system for
drawing (using GDI+) that uses meters (or any custom scaling for that
matter). Currently, I need to convert from pixels to meters for
scaling. This can sometimes get rather complex when you need to take
scaling into account or other things like window resizing, scrolling,
etc.
There is a property called PageUnit which can be set to World. I could
not find any examples...

Hello,
I had an earlier post regarding a strange exception I
(thought) I was getting in my windows form. I have since
been able to trace the problem to a picturebox control on
my form. I can reproduce the exception consistently, but
it seems to be timing dependent. Here is what happens:
I have a subform that I open, load an image from a file
into my PictureBox, take some user input, then I hide the

Hi guys,
I have the following code which is supposed to draw a grid in a panel
consisting of a specified number of squares. I can get it to draw the grid
and activate the autoscroll feature, however I cant get it to scroll
properly. I dont want to make the grid a bitmap and move that as the grid
can get very large and I want to keep memory and performance as high as
possible.
Is there an easy way to get the grid to to scroll so that...

Hi all,
I'm adding basic drawing capability to an application that I am writing, and
I have been having problems with making the graphics output persist when the
application is re-sized,covered etc.
This is the solution I have come up with, but it seems a bit convoluted.
Before I get too far into the development of the program, could someone cast
an eye over my code and tell me if I have approached it in the correct way,
or suggest a...

I am overriding WncProc to make sure my form's location stays within
specified parameters. Basically, it has to stay at the top of the
screen and not be off to either of the sides. All that works when the
form is in its minimal size. However, when the form is maximized using
the appropriate button the code that is supposed to set the location is
ignored. When the form is switched back to the standard dimensions
through the restore...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
