hi,
i am writing a socket program in python,both client side and server
side.I've written the client side which is working perfectly
fine(checked it against server program written in C).but as for my
server program written in python it simply hangs.it does not show any
error also.I've tried sample programs available .I don understand what
the reason is as i am quite new to it.

I am writing a program for the Palm OS in c++. I have already posted
this to a palm development forum but I'm desperate for a fix, so I hope
this cross-post isn't offensive.
My program is hanging, like it's in an infinite loop, while returning
from constructing an object. Through the debugger, I've found that it
is hanging on the returning call to the constructor. I put a breakpoint
on the closing bracket of the constructor, and it goes...

I am using system.diagnostic.process with the intention of running a
program to communicate with a unix box:
The program is "PuTTY", running from a batch script. I know it works
because if i manually trigger the batch, the results can be seen on the
unix side.

I've noticed that my program executable remains in the process list if at
any stage my program has shown a FolderBrowserDialog. I am calling .Dipose
on the dialog after use. This does not happen when I go through the code
paths that do not create and display this dialog. Is the folder browser
hanging onto something that is holding the rest of my program active on the
task list?
Any help would be appreciated :)

I am learning C, having fun with strings & pointers at the moment!
The following program is my solution to an exercise to take an input,
strip the first word, and output the rest. It works fine when you give
it 2 or more words, but when there's only 1 word the results vary
depending on whether it's on Windows or Linux: under MSVC it displays
no output (as it should); under gcc/Linux it instead gives
"Segmentation fault".
Any ideas...

Hi
I have a c# program that continually runs 24/7 and performs a variety of
tasks based on a timer.
There is one routine that hangs every Saturday morning without fail. If I
restart the program throughout the week is still hangs. I can restart it
immediatly after the hang and it runs fine until next Saturday.
There is nothing different about Saturday that I can think of.
