Is there any way of determining in VBA the name and arguments of the
currently executed procedure?
To assist in debugging, I would like to be able to trace the procedures as
they are executed. Then, when it crashes with Access's usual unhelpful
error messages, at least I will be able to determine in which procedure it
happened.
What I had in mind was something like this, inserted as the first statement
in every procedure during...

I have a Mainform with a Statusbar. When opening another form or doing some
processing I want to display info in the Statusbar of the Mainform. I have
read a lot of articles on this & have come up with the code below. It seems
to work(!!!) in that when coding the second form I can see the
DisplayStatusMsg of the main form. During debug the code runs through &
seemingly executes the call without error. But!...The message is not
displayed....

prior version of the value.

My development computer (1 gig, XP Home Edition SP2) freezes when I am
editing a very large VB.NET project. It can take minutes to move between a
code pane and the Find and Replace pane. On occasion, it freezes for one or
more hours no matter what I do. I would go back to an earlier version of VS
but I have already invested too much time incorporating features that only
exist in VS 2005.
I have installed the HotFix but it did not do...

Just looking for some advice and/or recommendations here.

Hi all,
I'm trying to develop an ASP.NET 2.0 website and am running into some
real problems with what I thought would be a relatively simple thing
to do.
In a nutshell, I'm stuck on trying to display data in a "GridView"
which is tied to an "ObjectDataSource".
In turn, this ObjectDatasource gets it's data from a strongly-typed
business object within my code.

I'm getting the error: "Unable to open the Web 'http://blah/blahblah'.
You are not authorized to perform the current operation". I have
changed a few things recently but I can't change them back as I need
them. I can't find anything about it using searches.
Yesterday, I removed the "Enable anonymous access" option from my web
(within the Default Web Site). The web has Integrated Windows
authentication checked. The site must check AD...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
