Nikolay,
I would like to display in progress bar the remaining time, until
Timer.Elapsed event is fired.
If you can tell when I win a miljoen in the lottery, than I will help you to
create a progressbar until that time.

To be serious, in these cases are mostly avi's used. (there are some in I
thought the sample files in Net in the program directory).

Helps not much but maybe something.

Hi I must be missing some obvious point, but can someone let me know how do I add a windows.forms.timer control to a form at run time Private TM as new windows.forms.time Dim sForm as for sForm.controls.add(TM) => throwing an error - Value of type 'System.Windows.Forms.Timer' cannot be converted to 'System.Windows.Forms.Control'

I have a sub which needs to do some things then wait a specified length of time before going on. I tried adding a timer with counter in its tick event then checking the state of the counter in the subprocedure. But this doesn't work: dim progress as single Sub mysub stuff

Hi I am having some problem with a form timer. I added a progress bar to increment its value and the timer works when I use form1.showdialog() However when I use form1.show, form1.refresh() the timer does not fire even if I had explicitly set the timer1.enabled=true and timer1.start

Is there any way to accomplish this? The forms _Load event fires off several other small ones that I'd like to track time for. I can't get either the Mdi Parent form's timer _Tick event or the child form that I'm opening's _Tick to actually fire off. Any help any of you gurus can give me will be much appreciated :). -Jayyde

I'd be curious to know if this works any differently on other computers/platforms or while other things are happening in the background. I can't tell if it's the Timer object that isn't keep accurate time (although a test with time.time() seems to show that it is), or if I'm just messing up my algorithm to fill the progress bar. If I put in 10 seconds, the progress bar will be fully filled at the end, but if you put 30, it doesn't. As the...

I have a splash screen set up with a 5 second timer, no problems there. When I try to add a Progress Bar it does not function. This is for a school project but usually I don't have problems. This is my first time using a progress bar but maybe this requires some special touch I am currently unaware of.

I have an app that shows the time it takes to execute a search, much like SQL Management Studio, but the app behaves as though the System.Windows.Forms.Timer gets blocked while binding the results to the grid. As you might expect, I execute the search in the background but I have to return to the UI thread to bind the results. While databinding, it appears as though the Timer.Tick event never gets fired, so my timer freezes at the time before...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
