I am trying to spell check a richtextbox. Through code (shown below) I
save the contents of the richtextbox to a rtf file, open the rtf file
in Word, spell check it, save it, and then load the ftf file back into
the ricktextbox using loadfile.
The problem is that the richtextbox seems to remain bound to the rtf
file. If I make a change in the richtextbox after spell checking, the
changes are successfully saved to the database but if the...

When you change the Font property of a RichTextBox, does it change the font
of all the contents, or only the text subsequently added, or only the
selection, or what?

I had an app in VB6 that I'm "upgrading" <GGGG> to Vb.net 2005. In Vb6 I had
rtf text in a field in a Sql server 2000 field and it would show up as
formatted RTF in my richtextbox. In vs.net that no longer works, the RTF in
the table shows up as unformatted RTF, just as if it were simple ASCII
characters.
How do I get this functionality back?
Thanks again Microsoft! Its great to know you continue making products that
are backwards...

I've done a search but alas have not found a resource to reference.
I have found
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnrtfspec/html/rtfspec_16.asp
Though I'm not sure how to translate that into a Richtextbox control
(possibly can't have to read the file by another method)
I'm trying to create on the fly a table in a RichTextBox control.
If anyone has some information that'll help me progress it'd be much...

i use RichTextBox to develop a simple notepad, now i want to implement
a function: when click on a word, the font name and size of the word
will be displayed in statusbar.
i know the SelectionFont can get the font of the current text selection
or insertion point. but i find it always retrieves the RichTextBox's
font, not current word's font.
i don't know why? can anyone know what's the probem?

I'm with vs2005 fw 2..0
is there a way to "freeze" the richtextbox,
so to avoid user from editing it?
I can Enable=False,
but it no more scrolls and the font-color becomes grayed.
In short,

In my app I would like to change the color of the hyperlink from blue to
purple when a user clicks the hyperlink in a RichTextBox.
The DetectUrls property is set to True and I handle the
RichTextBox1.LinkClicked event to launch a browser window. That works fine.
The problem is that once the DetectUrls property is True the RichTextBox
control shows the link in blue even if I select the text and change the
SelectionColor to purple.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
