Alright, I am beyond confused here and need some guidance. I need a
C# only sample. I have a simple Page and within it i am creating a
user control (ascx). The user control contains textboxes, buttons,
ect. I would like to catch/add a handler/recieve the Button.OnClick
event from the buttons that are in the user control, in the Page.
How? As far as I can tell, my only route is to:
RaiseBubbleEvent in the Button.OnClick in the...

Hi, All,
I'm having problems getting OnInit to fire in my
UserControl, when I use a custom template to render the
control. The control will render to the browser and it
wasn't until I needed to perform some initialization in
the OnInit event did I realize that this event was never
firing.

I initally posted this July 29, 05 and did not get any replies:
I have a Windows Forms UserControl that runs in a thick client. I am
now deploying it within an IE web page. Everything works fine,
including events, except for one feature. As the mouse is moved across
the control, a System.Windows.Forms.Tooltip is used within the control
to display information to the user about what is under the mouse. It
works fine in the thick client but...

All,
I have searched google and the newsgroups but can't find anything the
same as what I am experiencing (though I may have missed something).
I have controls (textboxes) within UserControls which are not behaving
as I would expect. Specifically, if there is a command button external
to the usercontrol which is activated by a shortcut key (eg Alt-B),
the command button Click event handler code 'executes' even though the
textbox set...

I have a usercontrol with code in the "leave" event which updates the final
data back into a database.
This works fine except if I have a default "accept" button on a form and
invoke it by pressing the ENTER key on the keyboard. In this case, it would
appear that whilst the code on the button is executing and therefore
presumably the button actually has focus, the leave event in the user
control is not fired.
Should I be interfacing...

Hi there,
I have a UserControl with a couple of textboxes and a couple of buttons
("Save" and "Cancel"). The Click event for this buttons is in the
UserControl's codebehind of course, so here's my question.
Once the UserControl is dropped onto the container page, how can I perform
some action on the codebehind of the container page from the codebehind of
the UserControl? For instance, suppose that the UserControl is dropped
inside one...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
