Hi all,
since a few years I use the following statement to find duplicate
entries in a table:
SELECT t1.id, t2.id,...
FROM table AS t1 INNER JOIN table AS t2
ON t1.field = t2.field
WHERE t1.id < t2.id

Hi.
I have created an interface where I have a QDataBrowser and all of its
editing and navigating controls and one of the displayed controls is in a
QSpinBox.
I have the navigation from current to next and previous records working fine
if I only use the data browser controls. I also can recover the correct
record if I type in a valid code at the spin box.

I have a database with more than 800 adress records
Some of the are similar because some letters in the street adress for
example are not identical, altough they point to the same adress.
Does anyone have the syntax for a query that shows similar adresses
thar could be duplicates?
Thank you

Hi I've written a module to find the first occurrence of a record in a
query (that is my forms datasource) that matches four specified
criteria. No matter what I try it doesn't seem to find records even
though they are in the recordset as you can navigate to them using the
forms navigation buttons.
weekending, weekday, ba (business area), projected
Here's the module can anyone spot where i'm going wrong? Any
suggestions would be...

I have a database with records that should have a consecutive number
ID (Check Register). Also has other records (deposits and adjusting
entries) that don't fit in the number range so autonumbering isn't the
answer. I want to check to see if any check numbers are missing from
the register, but can't figure out how to accomplish it. Thanks for
any help.

I have 100 tabes in an Access database, every table has 1 filed with
100 names (records), no primary key assigned. I would like to find
duplicates.
Here is the criteria:
The computer should pick up the first name of Table1 and check that
name in that table (Table1) as well as the remaining 99 tables.
Continue this till we reach the last name (record) of the 100th table.

Hello world;
I have two questions with respect to MSAccess database files
(*.mdb and assorted helper files):
1) Is there documentation (presumably imperfect, achieved by
reverse engineering/hacking) that gives the true binary mode
structure of MSAccess files?
2) I assume (I have not yet tested) that Access overwrites

Hi there!
I'm using PHP to create a simple, dynamic MySQL SELECT query.
The user chooses a selection from a HTML Form SELECT element's many options
and submits the form via a POST action.
The SELECT query is built as follows:
$itemtype = stripslashes(trim($_POST));

I need to query a table of data that has multiple datetime entries in it relating to individual customer records. So one customer could have 1 entry, or it could have 10 entries. I need to be able to identify the earliest of these records, and then on this earliest record update a field value. Example:
My Fields in the table are as follows.
Log_ID, Cust_Ref_No, ActionDateTime, Action_Code
The Log_ID is the primary key, and I need to...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
