something like this:
string sqlString ="SELECT * FROM TableName";
OleDbCommand myOleDbCommand = new OleDbCommand(sqlString , OleDbConn);
OleDbDataAdapter myOleDbDataAdapter = new OleDbDataAdapter();
myOleDbDataAdapter.SelectCommand=myOleDbCommand;
DataSet myDataSet=new DataSet();
myOleDbDataAdapter.Fill(myDataSet);
DataGrid1.DataSource = myDataSet;

I am attempting to use an API (CxApiOem.dll) that has a large number of
defines and complicated structs. It's just too much hassle to attempt
to use DLLImport to make the desired API calls. Instead, I created a
managed C++ DLL (OneBoxAPI.dll) that wraps the desired API calls in a
manner which is easy to call from C#. This way I can use the header
files that are part of the API for all the defines and structs.
I am having a problem...

Environment: W2K SP3 and .NET 1.1
I'm trying to set my machine up to do some Web-form development but am unable to
successfully configure the IIS Extensions. When I click Finish at the end of the
Wizard I get a dialog telling me "Cannot create folder "_vti_pvt'". I suspect it
may be a permissions problem, but even if it is I don't know how to fix it.
On the 'Create Windows Groups' page of the Wizard I've both specified 'Create

Hi there,
I'm trying to create an OleDBDataAdapter with a command that will receive a
parameter to act as a filter on the query.
I'm using the Query Builder wizard and it works fine, unless I define an
external parameter as the criteria, like '=@catID' (see the query please).
When I do it, I get the error "Data type error in expression"!
This is a sample of the query I'm trying to use:

This program works fine on my desktop when I grant full control of the
MSAccess database to everyone. However, when I put it on my hosting service
with no impersonation, I now get this error (see below).
Can anyone suggest what the problem is?
When I turn on impersonation, I get "unspecified error". See below.
Thanks,
Siegfried

I am using Visual Studio to create a VB .NET application to run on
Windows 2000. I am trying to display data from a Sybase ASA table in a
form, allow the user to update the data in the form, and then update the
Sybase table.
I created a OleDbDataAdapter using the wizard. The SQL I used was to
select all the data (2 columns) from one table. I then generated a
dataset with the one table. Then I click on "preview data" and then
"Fill...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
