I have 3 VB.net executables that reference the same 3 VB.Net DLLs.
How is the best way to distribute the EXEs without putting 3 copies of
of DLL on a user's machine. I looked into Private assemblies and the
Global Assembly but I am having a hard time figuring them out.
Ideally, I would like to have one install that puts all 3 EXEs and all
3 DLLs on the workstation. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I'm having trouble doing someting apparently simple. I'm still not very
familiar with Visual Studio 2003, so apologies if I've missed something
obvious.
Basically my problem is the following. I have 2 files that contain each
one a very simple class. I compiled them as .netmodules. Both classes
are under the same namespace.
I then bundled these .netmodules files into a dll. This gives me an
assembly of 3 files which was confirmed by...

I have a .NET windows program that has a VB.NET component and a C#
component. The VB component contains the form and handles all the UI stuff.
The C# component drives the engine that actually does all the work.
The VB component has one form called frmX. On frmX are three text boxes
(txtA, txtB, txtC) and a button (cmdAdd). When the button is clicked, the
program is supposed to add the values in txtA and txtB and display it in
txtC.

We have a solution which contains 2 projects. The first project is a
windows control and it references an assembly. The second project is a
test windows application used to test the windows control from the
first project. As such, it references the windows control using a
project reference. In addition, it also references the same assembly
that the first project references.
The assembly which is referenced by both projects contains...

Problem: I'm receiving the error "File or assembly name XXXXX or one of its
dependencies, was not found." when trying to execute code in an assmebly that
has both a strong-name and has been installed into the GAC.
We originally had this assembly without a strong-name and we were
successfully using it by referencing it when it was NOT in the GAC. The
assembly was built using the 1.0 framework and we were able to call it from
both 1.0...

I've written a C++ Wrapper DLL which I need to add a reference to in my
ASP.Net project. This in turn is dependent on the DLL it wraps which is
in turn dependent on some other DLLs. When I reference the wrapper DLL
VS2005 copies it to the 'bin' directory and I am unable to compile with
the error 'the specified module could not be found'. It still has the
same behaviour if I copy all the dependent DLLs to my bin directory,
but this isn't a...

Greetings all,
I am going to attempt to describe the issue that I am having in full.
I apologize ahead of time that this may be a long posting, however, I
have found no other solution to my problem.
I am working with a VS2003 .NET1.1 Solution Project. The Solution
contains 6 Projects:
CEC_MT, CEC_UI, Common, CommonUI, FISCommon, and FISCommonUI.

My unsigned DLL works in my project that references it as long as I
set Copy Local = true.
Now I have signed the DLL with the sn.exe generated keys but have not
yet moved the DLL into the GAC.
Can I use a strong named DLL outside the GAC with Copy Local = false
by providing a reference to the public key?
If yes to above, please tell me how to reference the public key within

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
