Greetings all,
I'm working on a program that allows a user to enter notes in a
multiline textbox. I would like to be able to read the contents of
the textbox (as records - one per line) and store in an array then a
file.
Perhaps this is the wrong control to use as there seems no way of
referencing each line of the text box.

Hi,
What do you suggest to do if I want to do a search in TextBox ? I know that
using RichTextBox, we could have Find method to search for a specific word
or information but I was wonder if somebody knows some methods for Find and
Replace in TextBox.
Thanks

Hi,
For my application I need the following behavior: When I press F4 the cursor
has to move to the next line in my multiline textbox which begins with "0".
Finding lines starting with 0 isn't that difficult, but to find the next
line is more difficult. For exemple: if my cursor is on line 200, it has to
start searching on line 201, and not on line 1.
Anybody has any ideas?

This is probably a very dumb question, I am using VB.NET 2003 and I see
where I can use a method to append text to a textbox, but how about remove?
I have a textbox that I continually post log type data to and I want to keep
it limited to 500 lines of text so that old lines get removed. How can I
remove lines of text from a textbox?
Thanks,
Ben

All,
Being immersed in vb.net and trying CSharp after almost a year I forgot the
differences. I like vb fixing the uppercase/lowercase names and seeming to
be more flexible to code entry.
But while trying to insert a text box to see when a method is used, and
putting a counter to bump some variable?
The textbox sits there unchanged. I put a breakpoint at the text write

hello,
new to vb.net, have a few questions about DataGrid. I have a dataGrid
that is working pulling a dataset back from a stored proc and binding
to the datagrid for display
the datagrid's first column is a textbox(TemplateColumn), the other 3
columns are just display(BoundColumn).
(1) if the value of the textbox is 0, then i'd like to change it null,
so the box is empty

I can import a .txt document into a TextBox
Each line in the TextBox contains a URL, for example, http://www.whateverdomain.com
I would like to convert each URL to the following format:
<a href="http://www.whateverdomain.com">http://www.whateverdomain.com</a>
Obviously I'm a dumb noob. I know how to convert a single line of text but can't figure out how to treat line-by-line, multiple entries in a TextBox.
Thanks in advance for...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
