SelectionMode of MultiExtended still only returns one selected item

I have a ListBox with:

SelectionMode = SelectionMode.M ultiExtended

If I use the Shift key to select multiple items

In the MouseMove event I see a

SelectedItems.C ount of 1

(GetSelected is also only true for one item)

But in the DropDrag event I see the correct number

Can anyone confirm seeing such behavior and/or suggest a work around?

Thanks

Hi. I use a ListView to display data in tabular form. Each ListView row corresponds to a data record. The ListView Item of the record is the record key or code. Each SubItem in that row represents a field from the record. I implemented a context menu so the user can "Copy" the cell content to the clipboard with this code:

Visual Studio .NET 2002 I've got an application in which I need to be able to click on a listbox item to initiate a dialog pertaining to that item. I'd like to be able to keep the dialog multi-select, but the way the listbox seems to be set up in C#, the SelectedItem member is just the first item in the collection of all selected items, and it may not be the

I've been able to get a pair of listboxes to pass data from one to the other successfully, but only one selected item at a time. If I change the listbox mode of both the multiextended, it only passes the item (point) from which the drag begins. Here's some of the relevant code: Dim Pt As New Point(e.X, e.Y) Dim Index As Integer ' Determines which item was selected.

Has anyone found out how to do DragDrop from a ListBox with SelectionMode.MultiExtended I've been searching Google and see that it is an old problem. I know from past experience that it stems from the fact that on MouseDown the ListBox changes the highlighting but not the selection collection (it updates the collection on MouseUp) Anyone have any suggestions on how to Drag/Drop from a ListBox with

I'm using the DataGridView control, with EditMode set to "edit programatically" and SelectionMode set to "FullRowSelect" (or something like that). My program allows the User to go into edit mode by double-clicking a row, or pressing F2, or selecting a menu item (Row/Edit). When that happens, I turn SelectionMode into "CellSelect" (or something like that) -- otherwise, the User can't see what he is editing too well. Ok, now the User edits...

I need a DataGridView in which, if the user clicks on a cell, the entire row is selected. But if the user clicks on a cell with the control-key down, the selected row does not change. I thought I should be able to just set SelectionMode to something like "NoSelect", then I could capture the MouseDown event and set Row.Selected to true when I need to. Apparently, there is no "NoSelect" option for SelectionMode. Anyone know how to do...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
