Custom user control in scrollable container problem

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a small little project of mine and got stuck trying to
add my own usercontrol into a scrollable object. For example, when a
download is initiated under Mozilla Firefox, an entry will be added into
the download window's panel/groupbox/whatever that is.

Please advise on what object/control to use to accomplish this task. I
have considered using a panel, but the panel control does not provide
automatic positioning of my objects, when I add or remove my user
control. Furthermore, when I created new objects in a for loop and tried
adding them into an existing panel, they did not show up. For example:

For intCount = 0 to 10
Dim objMyObject As New MyUserControl

objMyObject.Som eProperty = "Some Value"

pnlExistingPane l.Controls.Add( objMyObject)
Next

Any suggestions and help is very much appreciated.

Thank you.

I am creating a Windows application using C# in .NET. In one of the windows, I have to show a scrollable list of user objects. Those user objects contain various controls themselves (textbox, buttons, etc) and are all of the same type of user object - just showing different data. In this case, each one is a "question" being presented that needs to be answered, and the requirement is to be able to show all the questions for a given...

I have a dilemna. Currently I have created a custom calendar webcontrol that a user can select and will dump the date along with some specialized information set in the tooltip. It actually is working great. However I am having the same second thoughts about the control as everyone else because of all the real estate it takes up so I would like to add a button to alternately hide/display the calendar control. The only problem is that if I...

Hi. I am creating a user control in vs2005 which is supposed to provide a fancy gradient background - in theory, you just drop it on a form, you set the start/end colors, the gradient type, and you're done.... but that's in theory. It should repaint itself, it should take the size of the client form (the form you're dropping it on), and it should resize & repaint itself when the client form is resized. I have added the following proc for...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
