hI,
I have a project. I need to realise serial communication between PC
and Altera FPGA in c or c++. The function of FPGA is working well. it
can send data to uart.
Does anybody know how to realise it in c or c++?

Hi,
I'm trying to find out if a serial communication dll exists that would allow
me to communicate to devices connected on the com port through .net. My
implementation language will be C#. I was able to find MSCOMM.OCX but that
is an ActiveX control which requires a gui (i believe?). Eventually, the
application I will be running will be a Windows Service so I think I need a
regular dll (I'm not sure though).
Any suggestions?

Serial Device Communication" but I'm new with VC# and need some basic rules
because I have a lot of compilation errors.

Hi,
please don't tell me there is no other posibility to access the serial
port than using the createfile(...) func?
I was so convinced of .NET until this! Can somebody please provide me

Sax. However, I found that there is no CTSHolding property which I use
before in VB6's MSComm to determine the status of an external device. Do
you have any idea on this issue?

I am converting c++ codes to C# now.
When I get to serial communication parts, I found the data types used in C++
are different from C# which is not at all supprising at me.
But problem is that in C# there is very convenient class for rs323c
communication called SerialPort.
It only uses byte date type ( 8 byte unsigned value) or char (16 bit
unicode) as input parameter.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
