Kees,

Have a look in the resource kit.

VB.net Resource kit
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vbasic/vbrkit/default.aspx

And if you have problems installing the resource kit
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vbasic/vbr...q/#installvdir

Another resource for learning is the Quick Starts

http://samples.gotdotnet.com/quickstart/

I hope this helps a little bit?

Hi, In my application, on some given actions while debugging in Visual Studio, I suddenly get a "System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception was unhandled" Message="Error creating window handle." exception. The problem is that this exception isn't raised somewhere in a method, so it just shows up, and it causes the application to shut down. Is there anyway how to catch this kinds of exceptions? Can I put somewhere a

This may seem simple, but I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out exactly how to do it. I'm accessing a database through an ODBC link, and I have a query that returns only jobs completed that day (it's automatically generated). 1 user may finish 10, 20, or 50 jobs a day, but there can be at least 20-50 users per day, and they're always going to be different. The users aren't going to return, or if they do, it's always going to be under...

Dear All, I have spend a number of hours attempting to find some answers about how to remove the 3D BorderStyle within a combobox and have come to the conclusion that the simplest method is to create a user control and hide the borders using some panels. This however is not the most efficient method of doing things so I appeal to those developers who know far more than I. I assume you need to create a derived class which inherits the...

Hi, I'm populating a ComboBox with objects which contain two properties - IntegerValue and StringValue. I display StringValue in the ComboBox form and can retrieve IntegerValue from the SelectItem.IntegerValue property. This is all good but now I want to get a little bit more complicated. I want to be able to set the ComboBox's SelectedItem property by setting IntegerValue, so for instance if I have the following items in

If you look at this page on relational database design: http://r937.com/relational.html And scroll down to the "Many-to-Many Relationships" Section you will see a common database structure. I can not find a simple way to create forms and reports in Access that allow you to enter and display data in a structure such as this.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
