Datagrid column formatting (basics)

Some basic things I cannot figure out how to do with new datagrid.

1) How do I control the formatting of the column header separately from the
rest of the column?

2) If I align right the column, the header text gets jammed to the right
almost so you cannot read the last letter... how do I pad the cell?

3) Cell padding in general?

I feel like I am missing something about the new datagrid that is way
different from the old flexgrid? I am using the datagridcolumns tyles and such
but cannot find anything about controlling headers separately and formatting
columns in general?

One of the reasons given for the Allied victory in WWI is that the Nazi armament industry invested so much effort in creating new weapons (e.g. the jet plane) it wasn't able to develop any of them to the point of mass-production. There are days when I experience the same difficulties with C# and dotNET: there are twelve ways to do 'most _any_thing, and I wind up exploring six before I find an acceptable solution. <grin> Case in...

I have a datagrid that will display different datasets, (it runs different sprocs based on a value in the querystring) but it will always return 6 columns. The 5th and 6th columns are always Date and Currency format, all others are strings. I'd like to build one datagrid to handle this datagrid dynamically. I have it working now, all except the formatting of the 5th (Date) and 6th (Currency) columns. Since the headers for those...

Hi, Everything went fine getting a short date format out of SQL into my DataGrid with this: <%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "Created", "{0:d}")%> Then I got too fancy in SQL and started doing a RTRIM(date) when I was retrieving the data. That screwed the pooch big time. Suddenly I lost

Hi all, Have a datagrid that displays the price column of a table. Went to the Datagrid's Property builder and set the 'Data Formatting expression' for the PRICE column to {0:c}, so that the dollar sign, the comma, and the decimal are included (i.e. $44,644.48) Managed to update the price column of the datagrid back to the database, as long as, the user doesn't delete the dollar sign (in the 0 position).

Hi, First my apologies for double-posting but I am not sure wether this is a VB.Net or TSQL problem. I have the following problem: I generate a T-SQL string in order to fill my Dataset and consecuently a Datagrid. However on the date_time column only the date part is showing : e.g. 2004-08-14

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
