Reny,

One way to get never a good answer is posting your question again and again
in a newsgroup.

Hi Cor,
Here is my problem , i read in an article that Windows Form Controls like
display the date information in the language specified in the Regional and
Language Options (in the Control Panel) and are bound to are bounded to the
culture set in the operating system.
Setting the CurrentUICultur e or CurrentCulture property has no effect on the
language displayed on these controls.

http://www.ondotnet.com/pub/a/dotnet...t2.html?page=2

But i don't want to force the user to alter his locale setting and then use
my program to see the datetime in his language.Do you know any other way to
display the datetimepicker control in onec's local language rather than
english.Or any one know other good windows form control?

Regards

Reny

Reny,

I was curious about this and searched on internet and tested it as you did.

I get the idea that the datetimepicker is not acting on the culture setting
either in the ui or in the complete one.

That is as well how it is written on Internet in all messages about that.

However to get too your problem. The calendar should be displayed depending
on the OS settings of the user. And that would mean when I understand you
well that there is no problem for you.

I have extended the datetimepicker control to incorporate a ReadOnly property. I have used the new keyword to implement my own version of the value property, so that if readonly == true then it will not set the value of the control and will leave the checked status of the checkbox to false when a user selects a new date. this works fine when using the control on a win2k machine but if we use it on a win XP box and call

I'm trying to modify an older VB6 program and use the DateTimePicker control to give the user the ability to display and modify the system date and time. The VB6 documentation says it is available (e.g. not a newer .NET control), and is part of the Active-X (.ocx) called MSCOMCT2.OCX (in the \winnt\system32 directory), which I can see that it is there. When I go to add the control to my project (e.g. Projects -> Components) and scroll down...

I am trying to write an app in C# that requires the user to enter a date from 4000 B.C.E to 4000 C.E. I tried to use the DateTimePicker Control to allow the user to enter the date, but it only supports the Gregorian Calendar, so the earliest date it allows is in 1752 C.E. Is there a way to override the DateTimePicker control's minimum allowed date, or am I forced to resort to the less user-friendly use of three separate text boxes for...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
