I am trying to use the Logging Module provided by Microsoft Application Blocks for .Net
I installed everything as per the Instructions given in the 'Development Using the Logging Block'
But when i am trying to run the sample, i am getting the following error in the Event Viwer

What is the best of loggin in .NET
I am used to use logging into a file with Java but I see many in .NET use
event logging (Well I have not seen other techniques)
From my old days(Client-Server) I am also aware of using Database for this
purpose.
Can you tell me if anybody cares about logging and what is the strategy
adopted for a Enterprise application.

Let's say we log exceptions to the windows application event log using the
Exception Management Application Block. Is there a pattern that can be used
so the exception is logged only once and not everytime up through the call
chain? Is there anything a caller can key off of to check to see if it
should also log the exception?

The documentation for the logging module is good, but a bit obscure.
In particular, there seems to be a lot of action at a distance.
The fact that getLogger() can actually be a call to Logger.__init__(),
which is mentioned in para 6.29.1, also bears stressing on 6.29. I
grasp _why_ you'd implement it that way, but I may not be the only
coder who feels queasy with the word 'get' being used both to fetch
an instance and...

I'd expect the program below to put only one line with "Eat me" in the log
file. However, I get this with Python 2.4.2 in WingIDE on Windows XP:
Eat me
Ignore me
My understanding is:
1. Event "Ignore me" is logged to logger 'spam'.
2. Logger 'spam' has no handler associated with it, so this logger doesn't
do anything with the event.

I am using EnterpriseLibrary 2.0 Exception and logging block for
logging exceptions to event log. It works fine for sometime. After some
time it stops logging to event log. To make it active again I need to
open the web.config and save without making any changes. It starts to
work again.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
