I can't seem to get my head around the Visual Studio's Deployment Projects:
I want the user, at install-time, to be able to specify if they want a icon
placed on the desktop or not (I'm trying to use Checkboxes(A)). Seemingly
you can just place the Checkbox1Property Name into the User's Desktop
Condition but that does not work. I actually saw an article that highlighted
this process as "the way to do it", so I downloaded the source and...

Hi,
I created a C# deployment wizard to deploy my project.
The project gets deployed correctly, all the files get copied
to the correct folder etc. The only problem is that it does not
create any desktop icons, or entries in the Start->Programs menu.
There is no way to start the program that has been deployed!
What am I doing wrong here? Any help appreciated.

I've written an application using VB.NET 2003 and packaged it with a
deployment project. When I use the setup program to install the
application, however, it doesn't work. More specifically, the shortcut
placed in the Start Menu doesn't work.
I've noticed that the shortcut is strange. Unlike a normal shortcut, I

I'ld ask you all about deployment of python applications.
Sometimes (if not most times..) I would make deployment easy (easier)
for my customers (and for me too...)
What I mean, would be very useful to have a "jar-like" archive/single
file / multiple platform in order to deploy also complex applications
with many modules.

Short version:
IE7 and .NET Framework 2.0 breaks no touch deployment for .NET 1.1
applications. IE6 and .NET Framework 1.1 + 2.0 works fine. IE7 with .NET
Framework 1.1 only is fine, once we add .NET Framework 2.0, no touch
deployment does not work in a reliable manner.
