Hi.
I am trying to automatically backup transaction log when error 9002
happened. So i have created appropriate job and alert to catch this error.
I have two instances of sql server under Windows 2000. One of them is full
SQL Server, another is msde.
When transaction log is full in full SQL Server error 9002 severity 17
state 2 is logged in sql server log and in Windows Application log. My
alert firing my job. All is fine.

I am getting stucked with an unexpected behaviour of visual studio
when I insert an sqlcommand data control in a aspx page, and
after configuring it to run a stored procedure inside MSDE I have difficulties
in getting the generated part of code from VS in place.
e.g. if I change the stored procedure inside MSDE and then try to refresh it
inside VS it does not refresh the previous generated...

Dear NG,
I am using MSDE in my study of C#. It works well, however I would like to know more about MSDE itself. There seems to be no counter part to Query Analyzer of the full blown SQL Server. I have stumbled on to OSQL that can be run from the Command Prompt. By typing OSQL -? I get the list of commands. By using the -i switch I can execute SQL commands from a file. Does anyone know of a manual or user guide for MSDE? TIA.

I'm an experienced developer, but haven't used SQL server before and I need
some help.
Since I don't have full SQL server (but only MSDE), I don't have Enterprise
manager.
So I used Access XP (using an ADP file) to create the database on MSDE

I just upgraded MSDE to the latest version on my Windows 2000 server.
Everything appears to work fine - the enterprise manager on both the server
and on my computer are able to access the new database and I have loaded it
with all of its data using the enterprise manager. (Actually I've completed
the entire cycle three times!)
The catch is that my VB.NET web application is no longer able to access the
