Hello,
We are using DataTable to store our data that we retrieve
from SQL because it provides us with ROW/COLUMN concept.
Due to DataTable been memory hungary we are finding that
at least 40MB of memory is been created every second which
means the GC is concently running. We want to use
something else that is not memory hungary and will give us
the ROW/COLUMN concept (ie Multi-dimension Arrays).

Is it possible to store the data in a datatable in the hard disk instead of
the memory? By default, when a datatable's being filled, the table (and
data) will remain in memory. Would it be possible to save this data in
another medium besides the memory? Everything would stay the same but
instead of filling up the datatable by storing it in the memory, i'd be
storing it somewhere in the hard drive.

We have this huge application that's based on storing tons of data on a
dataTable. The only problem we're having is that storing LOTS of data (1
million records) into a datatable will slow down the system since all this
data will be stored in memory. The performance is really affected with this.
Since we don't really want to redesign everything based on this datatable,
are there any companies that offer a product similar to the datatable...

Is there a way to move a row in a Datalist up or down without having to
re-read the data?
I have a datalist which has embedded Datagrids in it. I want to allow the
user to move a row up or down by just pushing a button and have the page
post back with the row moved without actually re-reading the data from the
database?

remove and then remove it, add another column and add it back again in

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
