I had an error in a program I was working on. A dialog box came up saying
"do you want to view Disassembly?" I clicked OK just for the fun of it, and
now every time I run the program it opens a new tab in VB.NET titled
Disassembly.
My guess is I checked an option to view the disassembly every time.
However, I really don't want this to happen!
Does anybody know how to turn this off again?

Hi,
Obfuscate your code to prevent disassembly. http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/is...deObfuscation/

Ken,
Thanks for your response. I actually don't care if people can disassemble
my source code for this project.
The problem is: as I am tweaking the code for the project and debugging it,
every time I run the executable it creates a new tab. So, right now I see
these tabs:
Start Page | form1.vb [Design] | Disassembly | Disassembly | Disassembly |
Disassembly | Disassembly | Disassembly
I have run my code 6 times since I opened the project, so I have 6
Disassembly tabs.
It is very anoying to say the least. I don't want to see another
Disassembly tab until I am ready to learn Disassembly!

Well, it's stopped. I wonder if it was just a fluke...

VS menu:
Tools\Options
Options Window:
In the options Tree:
Debugger\Genera l
Then on the right side of window:
Disable: Show Dissassebly when source is unavailable

Hi,
I know, this question was posted a year ago (link below).
I wonder whether Microsoft changed it's mind and
fixed check_stack pragma to disable buffer security
for a single function.
I would hate to disable the security for the whole project
(or module) because of a single function.
Thank you

I don't know what i did, but when I run a windows form application from the
Visual Studio debugger, a new tab shows up in the main document tab space
with the title "Disassembly". This, as i understand it, is normal. However,
when i stop the debugger, the "Disassembly" tab does not dissapear and
remains a part of the main tab space and the tab cannot be closed.
This doesn't happen everytime i run the debugger, only sometimes, and i'm
not...

When I try to run any project, sometimes I will encounter this tab window in
the IDE which has the following message: "Disassembly cannot be displayed in
run mode".
I mean it'll show sometimes, and sometimes don't. Just wonder what is the
meaning of this? Do I need to concern of any wrong doing in my program or
codes?
Thanks in advance.

Recently for no apparent reason VB 2003 has been opening a Disassembly
tab along with Form1.Vb, Start Page, etc. The Disassembly tab has in it
Address and a text box followed by (Enter an address to view
disassembly.) Where is this coming from? What is making it appear?
I'm working on just a standard windows application. No web stuff.

I'm using VS.NET 2005SP1 (C++ Express, though I've also seen this on
2005 Standard SP1). One bit of behavior that's been bugging me a lot,
and seems to have gotten worse with SP1, is that if it ever once goes
to disassembly view, it will ALWAYS change to disassembly view when I
step thru code until I quit VS.NET and restart. (2005 original needed
a restart; SP1 sometimes even seems to want to show disassembly while
stepping thru code after...

Hello!
I have already started C++ programming with VC++ 2005 Express Edition.
Unfortunately during debugging one of my first programs I had to
unintentionally enable some debugger configuration feature which turns
on Disassembly Window at the end of every my program (basic example below).
int main()

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
