You'll have to write one.

For the system icons:

Have a look at the 'SystemIcons' class.

For the system sounds:

\\\
Private Declare Auto Function MessageBeep Lib "user32.dll " ( _
ByVal wType As Int32 _
) As Boolean

Private Const MB_ICONASTERISK As Int32 = &H40 ' Information.
Private Const MB_ICONEXCLAMAT ION As Int32 = &H30 ' Ausrufezeichen.
Private Const MB_ICONHAND As Int32 = &H10 ' Stopschild.
Private Const MB_ICONQUESTION As Int32 = &H20 ' Fragezeichen.
Private Const MB_OK As Int32 = &H0 ' Standard-OK.
///

Usage:

\\\
MessageBeep(MB_ ICONHAND)
///

Notice that Windows' messagebox supports copying its contents to the
clipboard by pressing Ctrl+C.

The subform can have up to 33 records and each record has 2 checkboxes, one for approved and one for rejected. A supervisor opens frmVacationWeeks and either approves or rejects dates the employee has requested for vacation. When the supervisor closes frmVacationWeeks, if he has failed to click a checkbox to approve or reject a date, I want a...

Hi there: I've read an excellent "how to"-article by Microsoft (no. 306227) - partly cited cited at the end of this email). I have implemented the code related to the part "How to Add a CheckBox Programmatically" in my code. I have changed it to use a OLDDB.DBReader to populate the datagrid and for the databinding. It works perfectly - also when using the edit-mode in the datagrid.

I set the AutoPostBack property of the CheckBox in the Header to True & am invoking a sub named 'CheckAllRows' on the CheckedChanged event of this CheckBox. The CheckBox in the Header exists within the HeaderTemplate of a TemplateColumn in the...

Me again! I have been battling this one for months. Wrote below to aid in getting certain subforms to hide once checkbox named Active is clicked. I am hoping to make the code work for Date fields that may be empty. I think i am going about it the wrong way: Private Sub Active_BeforeUpdate(Cancel As Integer) 'On current event of main form 'Check if checkbox is selected 'then show or hide subform

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
