form scale

Hi,
I use form.scale to scale up/down my form and controls, works great.But...
when sizing in and the form and controls become bigger, at a certain moment
the form will be as big/bigger than the screendimension s.
It accounts for that, the window does not grow bigger but the controls do,
although the maximum window dimensions it uses is 780*1036. And of course
the screen is only 768*1024!
Could this be a bug or something? Can I tell VB to use the proper dimension
or will I have to correct it manually?
Note: Screen.PrimaryS creen.Bounds shows the proper dimensions.

Thanks
Frank

I resize a control in a Form wth Scale mode set to vbInches. However, the control's size changes in different screen resolution, I thought that if Scale mode is set to vbInchs, then the control should have the same size regardless of screen resolution... can anyone tell me why? thanks :>

Can someone explain how to scale a form. I was originally going to calculate the new size and location for every control, but the form I am using has hundreds of circles on it and it is very unweildly to calculate and set four properties for each one. Can anyone send me to a good tutorial on how to use the form's size and scale properties and apply them to the other controls on the form? Or can I put all the circles in a Picture Box and...

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I'm too tired to hunt for it. I have a survey table containing questions with different answer scales. Some are 1 to 5, others are A,B,C, etc. I show these answer scales in a listbox. When the scale type changes, the list items should change. Problem is, the bound continuous form shows for all questions only the scale for the first question - unless I click on a question with a different...

I have some old code that I use from the Access 95 Developers handbook. The code works very well, with the exception that it doesn't seem to recognize wide screens, and sizes tab controls so that they are too big and wind up covering up some of the fields on the main form. Is there any good code out there that works in a similar fashion that will also either a) stretch the form width wise on widescreens or b), rely on height rather than...

Hi all, I was just wondering what is the equivalent of Form1.Scale (-160, -160)-(90, 95) in VB.NET? The Form1.Scale(...) in the VB.net is not the same as the old VB! Thanks in advance

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
