VB .net 2003 - Microsoft Word 2000 integration question

What I'd like to do is design a small VB.Net (2003) application that
populates various labels in a word document (Office 2000), as well as
selects what other word documents the user would like concatenated to
the end of the main word document.

Basically, I'd have a template word document that VB copies, then
opens. After opening it, VB would then use values that the user had
selected via the VB Form to populate several labels. Then, based on
check boxes, it would add other word documents to the end of the main
one (a customizable appendix, if you will).

Not sure how to go about doing this. My student copy of VB.Net 2003
that came with Bradley and Millspaugh's "Programmin g in Visual Basic
..NET" has a bad MSDN disk 2, so I have no help files outside of
Microsoft's online MSDN, which doesn't help much. The book has
nothing that I can find that helps me, either.

A point in the right direction would be a great help. Thanks in
advance,

I'm using c# in .net 2003 and having trouble. I've looked on msdn and can find a pia for Office xp but no mention of Office 2000. Is this possible or do will I have to go back to VS6 and do it in VB?

Has anyone had any problems with inter-office automation between MS Word and MS Access in Office 2003? I have recently installed office 2003 in a new folder and have left the older office 2000 and office XP components installed. ie I have word/access/excel 2k/xp/2003 installed. Does anyone know of any potential problems running a 2000 database with 2003? Also, what about installing all other Office products as 2003 versions but leaving Access as 2002 running a 2000 database? Why you ask! A client has a 2000 database. Currently using 2000 runtime for most employees to work with database. A couple use 2003 to use database, no problems. They have a mix of versions of other products such as Word, Excel - 97,...

I am working with SharePoint 2003. I am using (using C#) an existing webpart as a child control (server control). I need to access/manipulate the HTML that the control outputs prior to rendering it to the the page. The control outputs a list in a one-column table format. I need to access the contents of the rows and output them with restrictions in my own table format. Does anyone have any examples of manipulating the HTML of a server...

When running my asp.net hosting service (asp.net without IIS), on server 2003 with IIS not installed, I get the following when trying to process a request. "System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL (aspnet_isapi.dll)." Of course the dll is able to be found, it's still in the framework directory and for grins I even put it in my service's local directory. This is apparantly server 2003 not allowing asp.net to be run if IIS was not...

I am in the midst of trying to convert about 25 Access 2000 to Access 2003. The new environment consists of Office/Access 2003 and Outlook 2003. When converting the back ends I have no problems. When converting the front ends I get the following issues and error. If I try to import all the objects into a blank Access 2003 shell I get a missing reference error for Outlook 2000, Excel 2000, and Word 2000 or after importing all the objects...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
