SQLDMO - Setup/installation Problems

i have a small application that uses the SQLDMO com object

when i build a setup package to distribute it adds both the

Interop.SQLDMO. dll assembly & sqldmo.dll File

the problem is that the interop.SQLDMO. dll has a dependancy on my local
sqldmo.dll and appears in the dependencies box as "C:\Program
Files\Microsoft SQL Server......"

when i then run the setup on a test pc, it all installs fine as to be
expected but then the system cannot run because it looking for the
sqldmo.dll in the C:\Program Files of the test pc - which doesnt exist

how do i change the dependency so that it uses the one that is distributed
in the setup package

many thanks,
Craig

I have an application that's giving an error during installation. "Error 1935. An error occured during the installation of assembly interop.sqldmo, version 8.0.0.0, PublicKeyToken........" I am not sure what the error is about. I don't know if the app is trying to install interop.sqldmo or it's not finding interop.sqldmo. Doesn't interop.sqldmo get installed with the .NET Framework? Any idea what the error means? John Dalberg

Helo, I'me developing a proyect wich gets connected to SQL Server. I wished to show a list of SQL Servers on my networks if the configuration file couldn't be found... I can do this using SQLDMO, but it will raise an unhandled exception on any machine that lacks of a SQL Server... My goal is to list all the servers for a client application, herefore installing MSDE on the client machines seems unacceptable (This was a proposed...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
