Arrow Keys Do Not Move controls

Hey everyone. I just reinstalled my VS.Net and now for some reason, when i am in design mode and i try to move a control, it does not move the control. It ends up moving the scrollbar up or down as if it were the internet and not the control

Is there something in the options for this? or is it a bug, reinstall??

Hold down the Ctrl key while pressing the arrow keys.

That was the first thing i tried. I tried a hard-wired keyboard and two different wireless keyboards. I also tried looking in the configurations and options and there was nothing there...I'm reinstalling dot.net right now in the event something went crazy...

I doubt that this will help, but please report if reinstalling solved
the problem.

I ran into this problem and resolved it by going to
Tools/Options/Environment/Keyboard and setting the Keyboard mapping
scheme to Visual Basic 6.

Hi - On a data entry screen with misc. input boxes, such as for Name, Telephone Number, etc., when tabing down the input screen, Access will highlight whole contents in that box. Sometimes I'd like to be able to jump to the end or the beginning of that input box to start typing without overwritting what's already in there. In other words, if...

ok - the problem - I made a simple breakout game out of a form, just painting the background - and using keydown for left and right arrow keys to control the bat - worked fine. I then moved all the code into a user control, put it on the form. Now I don't get keydown events when I press an arrow key - on either the form or the usercontrol...

Has anyone else had this problem? I'm in GridLayout, if I add a new Label control and try to move/position it to the bottom page using the arrow keys it just stops at the bottom and doesn't let me move it more? Same with other controls -- they just don't move with arrow keys, but if I use the mouse they will position just fine. Is this a...

Hi there, I have an application in which a grid of 100 or more buttons are put on a form in columns of 10. All the buttons are within a panel. They are added in runtime, and so they adopt a sensible tab value. The tab key moves the focus down the column one by one, and the up and down arrow keys work well.

How can you detect when an arrow key gets pressed? Doesn't seem to trigger a KeyPress or KeyDown event. Thanks. Jerry

I tried all sorts of key combinations. How do I precisely move controls, such as labels or textboxes with the arrow keys? I notice that new labels or boxes only have 2 handles on them, - these controls I can't even move with my mouse.

Hi, I have a user control that needs to trap the arrow keys to move items around internally. However, using the arrow keys will move the focus to another control on the form hosting the user control. How do I stop this? Vincent.
