I am writing a VB 6.0 program similar to Windows Explorer, which has a tree
view and a list view to select directories and files. I would like to
associate an icon with each file, according to the standard file extension,
or use application file's own icon, just like the Explorer does.
It is quite easy to place a icon using the ImageList control, together with
the "TreeView.Nodes.Add" and "ListItem.SmallIcon" methods. The question is,
how...

On a VB6 form, I have a listview control associated with an imagelist
control. The icons from the imagelist control (ImageList1) to display in the
listview control (ListView1) are set by the following line:
ListView1.Icons = ImageList1
This seems to work OK.
After conversion to VB.Net, I get the following warning:
UPGRADE_WARNING: Couldn't resolve default property of object
ListView1.Icons. Click for more:...

Hi, I've been trying to create a listview and treeview with icons. You
would think it's a pretty straight forward task. API documentation
states you simply assign an ImageList - that's been populated either
using VS.NET (my method) or programatically.
I assigned the imagelist to the small icons in the listview.
Even VS.NET has been satisfied with what I'm doing as it shows the
listitems/treenodes with icons. As soon as I build/run...

Hopefully someone can help me on this.
I am using C#, making Windows forms.
I have created a listView with checkbox's. I have enabled the checkboxes
under the properties, and all the data, checkbox's and icons are displayed
as they are meant to be. My problem is this, I am trying to achieve the same
results as I get with CheckListBox(s), where I am able to select
(Check-mark) various checkboxs items and able to alter the data. I do...

Does anyone know how to have the standard order icons you quite often
see above a listbox or list view. These controls allow you to change
the order of the selected item within the list box/ list view. Is there
an easy way to implement ways or what is the standard way. I was hoping
that dotnet would have a property associated with the list box/ list
view but didn't see any. Thansk for any help !
cheers,
Des.

Hi
I had a project in VB6 which I upgraded to VB.NET recently.
In the app, I am facing some issue with listview control. In the earlier
app, I have set the Icons in listview through an imagelist.
but i notice that while i execute the project in .net, the step that sets
the icon prop. throws an exception.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
