I have a strange bug in C# using windows forms. To make sure it's not some
bug with my code, I've gone back to a simple test app, and still see the
same behavior.
I have created a simple C# Windows MDI Application, as in MSDN, ie :
1) Create Windows Application (Form1), set IsMDIContainer to true
2) Create MainMenu component in the form, with top level '&File', submenu
'&New' and '&Close', and another top level '&Window' with MDIList...

Hi,
Is it possible (in vb.net with WinForms) to loop throw controls inside a
container (form or panel) sorting the controls on a property (.tabindex
for example) ?
My problem : on several forms (or panels), i have many controls
(inherited controls from base controls : MyTextbox, MyCombobox ..). I
add a new property on these controls : .BeginningGroup (boolean : yes or
no).

Hi,
I have a panel on a form that contains a number of controls (all created at
design time), so many that the panel has a vertical scrollbar in order to
view all of them (panel1.AutoScroll = True). When the form first loads, the
panel's scrollbar automatically scrolls to about the middle rather than
staying at the top. After moving the scrollbar to the top, I click on one
of the controls, and a dialog box appears to allow me to edit...

Hi,
I am using large PictureBox inside a Panel, user can write on the PictureBox
(it is actually InkPicture) but the problem that I have is regarding the
Auto scrolling of the panel.. For example if a user scroll down and start
clicking or any other mouse/pen activity on the PictureBox, the Panel will
scroll back up. This happened only the first time the image is redrawn. The
subsequent mouse/pen activities will not cause the auto...

Hi All,
I know this has been discussed before but i can't really find an
answer to what i want to do. I am developing an application for
touchscreen using C#. It's going to be a fullscreen application
somewhat like a new windows shell. I want the user to scroll up/down
the objects currently viewed on the display using finger gestures
(e.g. like HTC TouchFlo where when moving your finger from the top to
the buttom of the screen the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
