If you download the VB.Net Resource Kit from MS, it comes with the
Component One suite of controls which includes a WebGrid. I'm not sure if
it provides the functionality you require, but it is free.

Notice that there is a separate group for the datagrid available too:

I'm learning C sharp and do not like vb much. I'm creatiing a wepage using panel to test myself. I tried to use these code below, which is written in VB, and to transform them to c sharp but I got hard time to understand vb syntax. I don't know if anyone in here can point out which is the equivalent object used in c sharp. Translate these two lines to C sharp: Sub Next_Click(Sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Select Case...

I could never get a solution to my delimma, so I'm trying in a last (hopefully not futile) attempt to get past this damned issue!!! I would REALLY appreciate someone helping my dumb-ass out here. Alright, I have an asp.net program I started writing. I created a class called tank, with some subclasses (round and square). I want to instantiate this tank-type object at runtime, and assign it member values when the user selects something. I...

I have been working for quite some time on this issue which in theory should be quite simple. The problem is that the Cancel and Save events are not fired when their respective buttons are clicked. I have read several posts which say to put your column generating section in the Page_Init section and it will solve the problem....however, it hasn't solved mine. Can somebody please take a look at this and provide any insight if possible?

I checked to see if its wired correctly: private void InitializeComponent() { this.DataGrid1.PageIndexChanged += new System.Web.UI.WebControls.DataGridPageChangedEventHandler(this.DataGrid1_PageIndexChanged); this.DataGrid1.EditCommand += new System.Web.UI.WebControls.DataGridCommandEventHandler(this.DataGrid1_EditCommand); this.Load += new System.EventHandler(this.Page_Load); }

What i do wrong? btw if i remove PlaatsVoetballers in the sub sorteergrid the first click it does nothing the second time it sorts (no adding new...

Ok, this is incredibly annoying. Below I have an ImageButton and it's ImageButton_Click sub. See the 6 response.writes? The output for them is displayed below in asterisks. Question: What part of the TemplateColumn below does sender.parent.parent.Cells(9) reference??? IOW, what tag does it reference? The templatecolumn is the 9th field in the datagrid yet no matter what I do, whatever "sender.parent.parent.Cells(9)" is referencing, I do...

Hi, All: I dynamic add an arrow up/down image in OnItemDataBound event for my datagrid, it works fine. But I have another textbox which trigger postback and doing something, after this event get executed, I lost the image but the datagrid maintain the same sort order. Should the datagrid remain what it looks like (with the riget arrow up/down image) before the postback caused by the textbox?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
