I have a dataset-bound datagrid and, when the user adds a row to the
datagrid and fills it with the data, I'd like to be able to update the
dataset (with the newly-added row) and then the database table (also with
the newly-added row).
Normally I'd do it with a DataAdapter method call but the dataset is
returned from within another class (I don't declare the dataadapter here).
What can I do?

I have a DataGrid web control which I've dynamically populated with
template columns to be used for bulk-editting. Generally, all of the
columns are textbox and/or dropdownlist child controls.
Currently everything is working. I can find the updated rows/columns
by parsing the posted data collection against the DataGrid DataSource.
However, when there is a large amount of DataGridItems (rows) the
update processing can take a while.

I have a Datagrid which in theory, should allow you to edit and update the
records. I've stripped my test page down so that it's only attempting to
update one field - "description". Yet when I make the changes and click
Update, it reverts back to the old value. I'm stumped! I've also checked

I've been trying to implement an editable datagrid and i have been
succesful up to the point where i can update my datagrid row by row.
However what used to happen was that once i updated one row, all of
them were updated so i immediatelly figured out that i have to include
the id of every entry in the update statement. This is where the

I want to asked the user if he is sure before deleting a row in a datagrid.
I've created an event handler for the underlying table using the RowDeleting
Event.
If the user responds that he does not want to delete the row then I think I
am supposed to throw an exception.
But the rowstate is changed to deleted anyway. I thought throwing the
exception would prevent this.
