passing sql query to crystal report

Hello,

How do I pass an sql query to the crystal report?
For example "Select * from products where productid = 215"
how can i build a crystal report in vb.net based on this query which returns
only 1 row from the table>?

I'd be thankful for any suggestions

I need your HELP! I've seen all the posts on using Crystal Reports within vs.net (vb.net) and changing a SQL query at runtime. When I tried to pass in a dataset into the crystal report at runtime, the report still showed the results from the default query (from within the Crystal Report). Then I tried the XSD solution where you define a dataset (that mataches the database and the Crystal Report) and have the Crystal Report use this....

I have a crystal report that works fine when run through Crystal, which I am triying to incorporate into a crystal report viewer. The report takes 1 parameter, which is either 0 or 1. If the paremeter is 1 then a filter is placed onto the data by the database server (Oracle PL/SQL procedure in a package), parameter is 0 then it doesn't use the filter. When I run this with the filter on the program works fine and the report is displayed,...

I want to have the value of the parameter included in the url link that the user uses in their email. Thanks for any guidance.

Hi, In my computer, I have the built in Crystal Report for VS on my Visual Studio .Net 2003, but this version of Crystal Report doesn't meet my need. So I have installed a new Crystal Report XI on my VS2003 without removing the built in Crystal Report for VS. When I tried to open a report which is created in the CR11, the VS.Net gave me an error saying "query engine error". How do I fix the question so that I can open a CR11 report in...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
