minimumsize doesn't take account

I used MDI form. In the child form I set minimumsize, but
it doesn't take account (the parent form does). Why? And
how to set the minimumsize for the child?

Thanks

It will work in .NET 1.1, fix for .NET 1.0:

I set the MinimumSize property on my form but it doesn't seem to work. I can still resize the form to any size I want. What I'm trying to do is prevent the buttons from vanishing when the form is resized. So I figured if I set the minimum size it would stop the form from resizing past the buttons. Works ok in the Designer but not in runtime. Is there another way to accomplish this?

I noticed that my program was reacting slow when moving it over the screen. So I went looking for what was causing this. It seems Form.MinimumSize is the culprit. At first I had this.MinimumSize = new System.Drawing.Size(408, 296); in the InitializeComponent() member. The program reacted slow on moving from the start. Then I put the this.MinimumSise statement in the Form_Resize member (EventHandler). The program is now fast when moving it...

Have a re-sizable form in an MDIParent form. Want to limit the forms minimum size. I set the forms minimum size property, but it doesn't seem to have any affect. Tried to set this property programatically from the Parent form as it was created, but I can't seem to figure out the correct syntax for setting the Form.MinimumSize property (VB) Can anyone help? Thanks in advance

Hi All :-) I am desperately looking for some help/information on how to direct page flow. Forget what I have done - here's what I need to do: I have a large ASPX.Net - VB.Net web application (around 35-40 pages) that once the user logs in, I need to direct them to the correct page, depending on what they select from the directory. In other words...when they login, if they are a new user, a new account screen comes up and from there a...

Hi there, Does anyone know (or care to guess) why the ""Control.MinimumSize" and "Control.MaximumSize" properties don't have the "LocalizableAttribute" but their overrides in the "Form" class do. It seems to me that the attribute should be present in the "Control" class itself since the size of a control might vary based on culture (or it should be allowed to anyway).

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
