Is there a way to select files on time or date. I mean on the time that

I am running a SELECT to get all tuples within a given date range. This query is much slwoer than i expected - am i missing something? I have a table 'meta' with a column 'in_date' of type timestamp(0), i am trying to select all records within a given date range. I have an index on 'in_date' and I also have an index on date(in_date). The queries I am doing are between dates rather than timestamps. Immeadiately prior to running the...

I'm at a complete loss on this problem. I'm using a DataColumn Expression with the DataTable Select method to return rows matching a data. Rows are returned on my Windows XP Professional computer at home, but no rows are found on the client's Windows 2000 computers. I have checked the regional settings' date format on both machines, and they are identical. The expression used in both locations are identical, and the data used in both...

I posted this problem earlier and now have more information. I use the DataTable Select method to get find the most recent "LastModified" date in a table of similarly named files. I then use the resulting date and time to get the specific filename and path from the same DataTable. The problem is that this worked fine on my Windows XP machine, but did not work on any of several Windows 2000 computers at the client's location. The Select...

I would like to use the timestamp on files to manage the currency of support files for my VB windows application. In this case I would only put the timestamp of the file in the management database and not the file itself. To do this I will need to have a File class property for Create time and date that will let me "set" the Create time and date of the file to my own chooseing. The VB file class does not appear to have the ability

This has to be so simple, I'm trying to build a select query using OLEDB adapter using Jet 4.0 that only selects records with today's date. In access =Date() works great but of course it doesn't work here. Now() works but doesn't select the date I assume cause now looks at the date and time? How can I get this to only look at the date? Thanks

Hi I have a perl script, basically what it is suppose to do is check a folder with files. Now the files are checked using a timestamp with the command ls -l so the timestamp in this format is checked. Now what the script does is it checks the time stamp and creates a year folder if it does not exist and then creates a month folder if it does not exist and puts the respective files in the month folders. If the files are created this month then it...

Hi. I have a form made in xhtml. I test via vbscript to make sure none of the fields are empty and properly formatted (ie email). All the regular fields work. However, I have two drop down menus that are SELECT elements (javascript-- one named arrivalcity and one named returncity). Basically they ask for a departure and return city and another menu appears with options based on that city. I can't seem to get the input from these fields in the...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
