Update:
My custom control is based on the article
"Creating Visual Basic .NET controls from scratch"
in "Adventures in .NET" on MSDN.
It is designed to be a replacement for the VB6 shape
control.
My control draws a shape (circle, square, rectangle ...)

Hi there,
I have a problem with some CSS I'm writing and I was looking for a little
help. I have a nav bar at the top and left side of my page in CSS which work
fine. The remaining space has a div which I'm using for body text. Floated
to the right of this are two image boxes and a broken out quotation from the
page (this box is wider than the images). The layout is working, except that
the text in the main section doesn't seem to wrap...

I've got six unbound text boxes on a subform that has a white
background. Each of those six boxes has an expression that when true,
will change its background from white to another color. These text boxes
need to go behind a single line of other bound text boxes (which show
the actual record). I.e., the purpose of the unbound text boxes
w/conditional formatting is to highlight the record/background with one
of six colors.

Hi there. I know I can make a form transparent by setting the transparent
color, opacity, etc. Is there a way of making the background of a label and
the background of a picturebox transparent also, so that I can place some
text on top of an image (seing the image behind the text instead of the gray
box of the label) and showing to the user only the image without the
background of the picturebox or form, and the text over it?
Any Ideas?...

I want to center an image on the screen and have text centered over the
image. What's the best way to do this?
I've been playing with style tags and I can get the stuff to center
automatically OR have the text appear on top of the image. But in the
second case, the image and text aren't centered properly.
Any help is appreciated...
Jerry

I want to display an image with some text overlay
Both the image and text will be retrieved from a database, so I have to
combine them at run-time.
Is there a way to do this?
TIA

You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
