VB .NET asp.net login failed

Hi
am learning VB.net. have created new app with new project
template named "asp.net web application". in this used
wbe projct items "add data form wizard" to create data
grid form. on run debug form displays however push
of "load" button gives error
"Login failed for user 'JEFFSGWNOTEBOO K\ASPNET". The name
is the machine name and the run process appears to have
created this new user in documents and settings. the web
has been correctly created in IIS (version 5.1) and
security seems ok. i've checked .net config for this
assembly and security is unrestricted. i'm running visual
studio .net 2003 on win xp pro sp1.
thanks

Hi Jeff,
Did you first use it with a totaly blank project.
Create and imidiatly debug
That should give a blank webpage, that is the best method to test this kind
of things.

Hi, The website I am working on is built with ASP.NET and connects to a SQL Server 2000 database. The web server and database are on the same machine. I have recently tried to modify the timeout of the website from 20 mn to 60 mn. I changed the timeout setting in IIS. Now the website itself doesn't time out, however after 20 mn, when I try to access a page that needs to connect to the database, I get the following error message

I'm having a problem that i really don't understand. I'm new to ASP.NET and to SQL Server (MSDE). I'm trying to get a VS walkthru in the C# to work. I think the problem is permissions but I'm not sure. I've tried adding the ZEUS\ASPNET user to the server using osql with the command "EXEC sp_grantlogin 'ZEUS\ASPNET'" but it had no apparent effect. Below is the error page that was generated when I tried to build and run the site: ...

I am working on WinXP Pro SP3, .NET 2.0 & SQL Server 2005 (Windows Authentication). When I run a ASPX page that connects to SQL Server, the following error gets generated: Login failed for user 'RON\ASPNET' where RON is my machine name. I came across a few posts which suggested adding RON\ASPNET as a User in SQL Server Management Studio Express (under Security--->Logins node). I did so but that didn't resolve the problem.

I have an ASP.NET 2.0 application that uses Forms Authentication. The startup page contains just a login control, and the site works well on an IIS 6 web server. I am now setting the site up on the production web server, which runs Windows 2008 Server and IIS 7. The login page comes up, but when I try to log in, I get the error, "Login failed for user '(null)'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection." For debugging...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
