Hi!
In my assemblyInfo.vb , I have change the version number to 1.2
<Assembly: AssemblyVersion ("1.2.*")>
But when I try to retrive the version with version class, I still get my old
version number
System.Environm ent.Version.Min or.toStrinr() gives me 1 instead of 2
Any idea?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
According to http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...us/cpref/html/
frlrfsystemenvi ronmentclassver siontopic.asp, System.Environm ent.Version
will get a Version object that describes the major, minor, build, and
revision numbers of the common language runtime. This is not your
assembly's version.
To get the Version you want, you can get it through Assembly class. For
example:
System.Reflecti on.Assembly.Get ExecutingAssemb ly.GetName.Vers ion
Hope it helps.

I have a largish data set (1000 observations x 100 floating point

variety of clustering, neural network, etc, algorithms on the data,
and to keep life simple I want to reduce the dimensions of the matrix
so that I have no missing values, since not all the algorithms are
able to handle them and there is sufficient redundancy in the

In the context of LATEX, some Pythonista asked what the big
successes of Lisp were. I think there were at least three *big*
successes.
a. orbitz.com web site uses Lisp for algorithms, etc.
b. Yahoo store was originally written in Lisp.
c. Emacs
The issues with these will probably come up, so I might as well
mention them myself (which will also make this a more balanced

Hi,
I have windows app written in Borland C++ Builder 5.0. Using ODBC

created with UNICODE encoding.
When pg-server is version 7.1.3 windows app works fine, but when
pg-server is version 7.4.6 or 8.0beta4 under certain conditions the
app receives strings with wrong lengths. For example: the database
contains table "issue" with the following structure:

Hi,
Is there a way of getting the date that an assembly was last compiled? I
am trying to help myself to remember what version of a particular
assembly my Web applications are using, so I've taken to having it
output the version number at the bottom of the page using:
Assembly a = Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly();
AssemblyName an = a.GetName();
info.InnerHtml = "Powered by " + Info.Name + " v" + an.Version;

Hi
We are rewriting the libc for the 64 bit version of lcc-win
and we have added a new field in the FILE structure:
char *FileName;
fopen() will save the file name and an accessor function
will return the file name given a FILE *.
Questions:
What would be the best name for this function?

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
