I would like to have some MenuItems that are specific to my child form
appear in the main menu.
In the MSDN documentation:
Menu merging is typically done to merge the menus of a Multiple Document
Interface (MDI) parent form with those of its active MDI child form. This is
performed automatically by the .NET Framework common language runtime. For
example, if an MDI parent form contains a set of menus for handling files
and your MDI child...

I use to get popup events when I checked out the menu coding.
That was a while ago. Something I did in the interim must have suppressed
those events because I just noticed I don't get them any more.
What could I do that will cause menu item Popup events not to be raised?
I've been looking but really don't know where to look anymore.
Second question.
A control has a context menu.

Dear all,
Anyone knows how to put the child form's menu items before mdi
form's menu item? In my case, I've a mdi form with menu items "windows" and
"system". In child forms, I've menu items "Action". I'm using the merge
option "Add" now. As the result, I found the menu items order becoming
"windows", "system", "action" and I wanted to put the "action" item before
"windows" and "system. Please help. Thanks
Best Rdgs

When I add a main menu to a child form in an mdi app, and use this code, the
menu does not merge (I do not want it to merge with the parent's menu):
Dim i As Integer
For i = 0 To MainMenu1.MenuItems.Count - 1
MainMenu1.MenuItems(i).MergeType = MenuMerge.Remove

Hi All
Am using VB.NET menu object. I have a MDI screen and menu is attached to
the MDI screen. When I try to open a child window with in the MDI, the Child
window's menu gets appended to the MDI menu. So now I see two menus in one
menu bar. Usually in VB and in others when ever a child window is opened the
menu of the child window will be replaced with the MDI menu and activating
and deactivating the subsequent windows will hide and show...

Been experimenting with menu items merging and it seems to me that all I
need is Replace and Remove
If the item is not already there Add, Merge and Replace all seem to add it.
If it is already there, Replace and Merge seem to do the same thing (I
normally wouldn't use Add if it might be there because I wouldn't want two).
So why can't I always use Replace in place of Merge and Add?
I figure there is a reason but haven't found it yet!

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
