I'm trying to work with a datagrid column in order to display a tooltip in a
datagrid cell. The reason I am doing this is because I have some long strings
being returned and I don't want the rows of the datagrid expaning down to
much. I basically want to display the first 50 characters in the grid cell
and then display the rest as a tooltip in the grid cell. I'm not sure if this
is possible but if anyone can help me do this I would be very...

Is it possible for the bound data in a web datagrid to be displayed in
links?
The grid will show the client's first name and last name and, when the user
clicks on the first or last name, I want to get the cell the user clicked
(thus getting the client he chose), and take the user to another separate
page that will show that client's complete information.
It doesn't really have to be like that (there could be another extra
column - as a...

I have an ASP.NET form with a DataGrid and Button. I want to put a
RadioButtonList in a DataGrid cell. I bind it to an ArrayList which has a
ListItem in the cell. The display part works fine. I then check some boxes
and hit the submit button. I can't seem to get the value that is selected on
the RadioButton List. I don't want to use the EditTemplate thing I just want
to click on the radiobutton and submit the form. I also don't want to do...

Hi, I'm not sure the best way to do something and I hope someone can
help me. I'm developing a web application that a user enters test
questions in. I store the questions in a database. When a person takes
the test I need to be able to display the questions. I can use a
multiline text box but I want the user to see the entire question and
not have to use the scroll bars. I also don't want the scroll bars
visible if they are not used.
I...

Can someone post a clear example of how to change the background color
of an individual datagrid cell for a Windows desktop app? (preferably
in vb.net)
I found some code on how to do this when the user clicks on the cell:
Private Sub DataGrid1_CurrentCellChanged(ByVal sender As Object,
ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles DataGrid1.CurrentCellChanged
DataGrid1.Controls(DataGrid1.CurrentCell.ColumnNumber +
2).BackColor =...

want one of the column to display complete name instead of
abbreviation. Can I change the display dynamically in the datagrid or
should I change it in stored procedure?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
