I'm trying to upgrade a VB 6 App to VB.NET and I'm getting an error
message that there is no license file for commondialog control.
Does anyone know how to get the license file or know of a previous
thread covering this topic?
Thanks.

Hi all,
I'm using Access XP 2002. I'm trying to put the control Microsoft Flexgrid
6.0 onto a form. However, whenever I try this, I get the following
error..."You don't have the license required to use this ActiveX control".
How can I fix this error so that I can use the Flexgrid control under
Access? If this is not possible, could anyone recommend a control that works
like an unbound grid control?
Any help would be useful, I've tried...

I am using third-party controls for image display. It's the COM version of
LeadTools. Depending on what I need, it may create various interop .dlls.
These Interop .dlls, however don't seem to work over the web. Does the COM
component need to be installed on the end-user's machine before these will
work? I need also to distribute a runtime license with this application.
How do I do that over the web. I intend to embed these in a web...

Hi all,
I've developed a win C# app that is actually database driven using SQL
server 2000. The idea is that only one application will be installed on
a server in a network and the program will be able to run at each client
machine by just double-clicking the application executable through a
network share. The program supports user logins.
What I want to do is find a secure way to control the number of
concurrent *users* using the...

We created an ActiveX control and marked it as safe for scripting using
Implements IObjectSafety. We then created a CAB file and signed it using
Verisign.
We also created a license file (LPK file) for it.
We use this control on an ASP page.
We put the CAB file for the AX control and VBRun60.CAB in the same folder
with all the ASP files.
When we call the ASP page using any machine with IE 6 SP2 (we tried it with
multiple IE6 SP2...

Hello
I'm using Access2000, SplitDB, ALL MenuBars are Off. The
AccessTitleBar(BlueBar) displays at the top with its (Min/Max/)
Controlbox.
I have a MainMenuForm (Modal-On), that Calls a ReportMenuForm
(Modal-On) that lets me select a REPORT. If I set the ReportMenuForm
(Popup-On) and I select a REPORT, the AccessTitleBar becomes disable (a
good thing), however the REPORT displays underneath the ReportMenuForm

I have problems making a c++ clr console app accepting the license.
If I create a c++ windows forms project and add the license.licx file to the
project everything works fine. If I do the same with a c++ clr console app I
get invalid license exception when I try to run the console app. An
app.exe.license is created in both cases. Anyone any ideas?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
