Error while "Make" command

hy
i am trying to install Osmocomm-bb
i have installed toolchains and required libraries but when i run make command in scr directory of osmocomm bb it produce the following error.

configure: error: source directory already configured; run "make distclean" there first
make: *** [shared/libosmocore/build-target/Makefile] Error 1

please help me sort out this issue.
further one more requirement in guide was...

"Compiling both the target and the host code will happen with the following command. It assumes that the arm-elf-gcc is inside the current path. "

please help me how i should change the path of the arm-elf-gcc
and sort out the above error..

please reply ASAP

Bear with me as this isn't something I have installed before, but from the error, I would run 'make distclean' in that directory before running make. But, it sound like what you already have done, built the stuff in there, but that's just an assumption.
