How to achieve "publication" from a SQL Server 2005 Express database

We use SQL Server 2005 Enterprise at head-office and SQL Server 2005 Express in a number of remote locations. To keep each database in sync, the closest I can find (without alot of development work) is Merge Replication. However, the Express edition will not permit publishing (only subscription). Is there a recongised solution to this problem. Many thanks.
