Building a webpage that links to SQL Database

Hi all...
I am having difficulty here. Our company has website already built few years back. Now they want me to add one tab (webpage) i guess to their existing website and link SQL database to that with login information.

Is this possible? As I am new to website part?..
Thank you in advance.

Yes, it's possible. However, the solution will depend on what front-end tool are you using to build your web-based application. PHP? ASP? .Net? Once you figure that out, you might want to post it to the right forum and they might be able to help you with the connectivity portion. The security policy is entirely a different ballgame.

Also, you will need specs like what kind of "link" are they expecting? Single login? Domain type? etc...

Good Luck!!!
