If we knew the particular database(s) of concern,
perhaps we could redirect you. For example, for
"MySql", I'd direct you to www.mysql.org, for
Microsoft Access, I'd direct you to
www.msdn.microsoft.com, etc.

However, www.google.com is typically much more
adept at such directing. Just provide it with
as much information specific to your quest as
possible.
Or is this the correct spot.

No, not here.

Purpose of comp.lang.c++:
http://www.slack.net/~shiva/welcome.txt

We can help you here with the (standard) C++ parts of
your program, but not with the database stuff.

The database I'm looking to connect to would be either (SQL, Access, or
txt).

Are there any newsgroups that are for C++ and databases? I'm new to
NewsGroups.

Just go to

http://groups.google.com

and enter a few topics you're most interested in, like ado, oledb,
access, c++ etc. Look for the most relevant articles in the results.
Those are the newsgroups you want to read.

HTH,
Dave
