JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Analyst will be responsible for much of the modeling,
tracking, reporting, analysis, and forecasting. The successful
candidate will work with Business Managers to develop relevant
reporting and conduct critical data analysis pertient to the
understanding and improvement of customer behavior. The Business
Analyst will provide analytic support in determining the factors
affecting website visit behavior, registration, conversion to paid
memberships and customer retention rates along with developing and
maintaing key business metric reports for Senior Management.
The company seeks an energetic, intellectually curious, intrinsically
driven individual who can get things done both individually and
through others. The successful applicant will have proven analytic
background (ideally with a consumer-based company).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Collaborate with Technical Resources and Business Managers to gather
and analyze data.
Conduct periodic and ad hoc analysis of data pertinent to the
operation and performance of the company's website and subscription
services.
Conduct SQL quereis and work with other data extraction, reporting and
analytic tools to develop management reporting in order to gauge,
monitor and pinpoint areas for improvement with the company's
subscription services.
Build reports based on needs analysis derived from Business Managers.
Develop and maintain multi-department reporting based on key
performance indicators and a clear understanding of operational
objectives.
Diagnose and communicate to Business Managers operational trends that
enhance or impede conversion of website traffic to paying customers.
Support companies effort Develop methodology to segement customer
database for the purpose of implementing more successful one-to-one
marketing campaigns based on user demographic, psychographic and
success profiles.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5 years experience in a Business Analytics position
B.A. or advanced degree in Economics, Business or closely related
study
Able to translate strategic business logic into technical report
requirements
Knowledge and experience in SQL, MSQL or Oracle database queries
Knowledge and experience with WebTrends, Crystal Reports and other
enterprise level business analytic and OLAP reporting tools is
strongly preferred.
Superior knowledge of relational databases.
Able to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of an
organization.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal
communication skills with demonstrated ability to work in a team
environment.
