How to copy data from MS Excel to MS SQL Server using DTS

Dear All,

I want to know to the steps required to created DTS packages in SQL Server, for tranfering data from MS Excel to MS SQL Server 2000.

Please, can somebody give me the site link which contains the steps needed for my work.

Is there any tutorial on this subject?

From the start menu got to MS Sql Server --> Import/Export and open DTS Wizard.

Select the Source Table from the DB u want.

In the next step (Destination format to store), select the top combo to MS Excel format and then select the path and filename to store.

Finally, Start the export process after verifying the Table Name and Destination Format.

Hi,
Sorry, Since its from MS Excel from Sql Server just change your source as excel (From the Combo) and Destination as Any DB.

I misspelled ur question, Sorry.......
