Hi,
I believe I have discovered a bug in Python 2.3. Could anyone suggest a get around?
When I tested my existing Python code with the newly released Python 2.3, I get the following warning:
FutureWarning: hex/oct constants > sys.maxint will return positive values in Python 2.4 and up
It is because I used some constants such as 0x80ff3366, so I change it to 0x80ff3366L, hoping to get rid of the warning.

I have a stored procedure using Convert where the exact same Convert
string works in the SELECT portion of the procedure but fails in the
WHERE portion.
The entire SP is listed below.
Specifically, I have a problem with this portion in the WHERE clause:
DATEADD(Day,tblMyEventTableName.ReminderDays, @DateNow) Between
CONVERT(smalldatetime,str(DATEPART(Month, @DateNow)+1) + '/' +
str(DATEPART(Day, tblMyEventTableName.TaskDateTime)) + '/'...

Hi,
My SQL returns a NULL in a datefield if there is no date in that field.
If there is a NULL in this column, I want to replace it with spaces in
my SELECT statement when I am selecting these records. Can any of you
experts out there help me with a sample SQL.

Just one question, why wouldn't the following lines compile:
decimal? decVar = 5;
int? intVar = decVar == null ? null :
Convert.ToInt32(decVar.GetValueOrDefault());
The compiler shows the following message: "There is no implicit conversion
between 'null' and 'int'."
A similar if-else construction works just fine.

I am tryieng to convert our time consuming recursive queries too very
efficient queries based
on nested set model.
The only problem is to convert an adjacency list model into a nested set
model, with push down stack algorithm to DB2 query. The client does not want
to use Stored Procedure.
Please any Recurcive or CWE ideas.
Thank's in advance.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
