After creating an IN clause from a bunch of character strings created by a
Word macro, Query Analyzer complains about a syntax error. The macro takes a
column full of character strings and wraps apostrophes (single-quotes)
around each string and adds a comma to the end of each line, ready to paste
into a Query Analyzer session. The problem is that Query Analyzer doesn't
recognize the MS-Word apostrophes. It has nothing to do with the...

Every thing is on one machine, Programs and sql. Sql is up
and running(can test with query analyzer). No changes
where made! This was working fine. How do you track this
error? What network documentation? Nothing shows in the
event viewer. where do I start?

Hi!
I have a query that INNER JOIN's three other tables. All the relation are 1
to 1, except for one, where an Item can have more than one price. I have
this query that work fine in MSDE Query Analyzer, but when I fill a dataset
with it, I get an error. (I attached a screenshot of it)

I hate the visual query designer in VS.
Is it possible through add-ins or extensions to have query's you want to
edit open in query analyzer, or the text editor in VS, or a dos shell... or
anything other than the designer.

I have a stored procedure that I want to execute and then wait in a loop
showing a timer whilst it completes and then carry on once I get
notification that it has completed. The main reason for this being to stop
the user thinking the application has frozen when in fact it is just waiting

Hi All,
What are the pros and cons between using Enterprise Manager or Query
Analyzer for my queries.
Currently I use Enterprise Manager because I prefer the interface and
only use Query Analayzer when queries time out in Enterprise Manager,
but I'm sure there must be more to it.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
