I have been asked to design a file server application. Here are the
particulars:
The data that is to be served is on a 80Gbyte USB drive connected to a USB
2.0 port.
That disk needs to be used by 2 applications. One archives the disk data to
another drive, the other does timed seeks extracting 2Mbyte chunks.

I have a web server running IIS pointing to a file server. Should the
..NET framework be installed on both the web server and the file
server?
Right now I have it installed on only the web server. <script> aspx
pages work, but I cant deploy Web applications --get a "can't load
namespace.global" error in the global.asax. I xcopied all the files
and the bin/dll.
Thanks

Hi just wondering what could cause a left open SQL connection as this has only occured 2 times in the last week. The error it creates is when a web app tries to open a connection an error message states, it is already open. The process was then killed to close the connection. The usage is pretty low around 15 workstations. Looking at the code it appears that all connections get closed, so thinking it is not a problem with the code. Thanks...

I was hoping that someone can give me step-by-step instructions to fix the
following:
We would like our ASP.NET application to utilize a central file server for
uploads and downloads. I have tried creating a virtual directory to the
external file server on the web server and just referencing the virtual
directory when setting a hyperlink to download a file and everything seems to
work well until I attempt to implement an HTTPHandler (to...

Re: Access 2003/WinXP Pro-SP3
I have a shell command that does not run correctly.
I have two programs located on a file server: Pgm1.mdb and Pgm2.mdb
Pgm1 launches Pgm2 via a command button using a shell command.
The old method ran fine when the specified file server was mapped on
the user's workstation as a drive letter (U)
strAppName = "msaccess.exe " & "U:\Access_EQ\EQ-NonCorp.MDB"

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
